These are the setup instructions for our FOMOstream® Fs1 Series Android TV Boxes. These can be set up through the Add-ons Manager or new FOMO Repo.
The setup instruction shown in the video below is still valid information for the Fs1 Series, but the Kodi now takes longer to load (due to all the extra we have installed) and it will look very different. Also, as of Feb. 28th, 2020, we have included a FomoWizard which is meant to replace the Add-ons Manager and can be installed with our FOMO Repo. More on this below.
Fs1 Series Setup Instructions:
These instructions are for the…
- Fs1mini Quad Core
- Fs1 Quad Core
- Fs1plus Quad Core
1) INSTALL
When you first turn on your FOMOstream® Fs1 Series box you’ll need to connect it to your TV with the HDMI Cable and Power Cord that we provide. Standard Remote requires 2 AA batteries.
2) SCREEN ADJUSTMENT
When you see the Android Launcher Screen appear, click the screen adjustment button on your remote to ensure it’s fitting your TV dimensions well. The screen adjustment button on your remote is the 3rd button on the second row of your remote.
3) INTERNET CONNECTION ( WIFI & ETHERNET )
You’ll want to make sure your Ethernet or WiFi is connected. This is done within your Settings (you can click the yellow settings button on remote to get there). It can take a couple of mins to connect so give it some time.
Next, we recommend doing is a speed test from within your Speed Test App found inside your Android Apps. Speed tests are very important for determining how much internet speed is being sent to the box, and for troubleshooting purposes.
4) OTA SYSTEM UPDATE
Check for an OTA System Update.
If it says ‘No Update Available,’ it means it’s already updated and you can jump to step 6 if this your first time setting up your box. If you’re deleting your old setup to make room to put a fresh new setup on, start at step #5 below.
5) PERFORM FACTORY RESET
After the OTA update, it’s important to do a Factory Reset before moving on to the next steps. Overlooking this step could cause problems. After the factory reset is complete you will need to put in your WiFi password again if you are using WiFi instead of Ethernet.
From here you can Install Through Add-ons Manager or Install FomoWizard through the FOMO Repo. We suggest using the new FomoWizard Setup Method but Well Keep Both Instructions Up For Now.
6) ADD-ONS MANAGER (skip to step 6.5 to use the new FomoWizard)
Now go to Add-ons Manager, also found inside of your Android Apps, and you can INSTALL to get our special setup and KODI Addons. Next, back out to the Android Launcher home screen and click on the KODI Media Center logo shown on your screen. Note that when the status download status bar reaches 100%, it will sit there for a few mins on that screen while it sets your KODI shortcuts. Please do not click anything on your remote until you get brought back to the Add-ons Manager screen and can see the Local Server displayed. During the update, the last step in the wizard update is adding your shortcuts at the bottom of the KODI screen.
IMPORTANT: If you click on the Add-Ons Manager and it says stuck on 0 for more then a few mins without installing, first make sure your internet is connected, and then Install New Add-ons Manager APK File and do step 6 again. It will surely install successfully this time around.
Your KODI Media Center is now set up through our Add-ons Manager.

6.5) FOMO WIZARD
The FomoWizard is installed through our FOMO Repo. You just install the FOMO Repo once with a few easy steps and then you can easily update Kodi Builds via our FomoWizard with a click of a button.

7) REBOOT BOX
Turn your FOMOstream® off, and then back on again to complete the setup or update.
8) OPEN KODI
When you first open Kodi, please allow about 15 mins to fully update the background before having any expectations. You may get a few messages while Kodi is updating that might cause concern. Please ignore all the Failed Update messages. If you want to delete any Add-ons because of missing dependencies, the best answer is always NO. This is because your unit is still updating in the background and it doesn’t recognize all the updates yet.
From the Kodi Home Screen, you can go to your ‘SYSTEM’ Menu Tab, and then to ‘Video Add-ons’ in the drop-down menu to see all your Video Add-ons at once in alphabetical order.
9) SETTING TIME & WEATHER

10) MAINTENANCE
We Fully Manage and Maintain your FOMOstream® Android TV Box for you through back-end support. Back-end support comes from our team of developers who constantly upgrade and evolve the FOMOstream® system setup for you through free updates that you get automatically notified of, and or are facilitated with a click of a button.
We recommend updating Kodi on the FOMOstream® Fs1 Series about once a month through our ‘FomoWizard’ located inside of your Kodi Program Add-ons. We push new updates out regularly. It might be within 30 days of the last update, or it may be as long as 90 days. If you go too long without running your FomoWizard, your user experience can begin to diminish. If you run your FomoWizard each month that will be sufficient to keep your box in good working order.
Your OTA ‘System Update’ are different updates that are much rarer. Those happen just 1 or 2 times per year and the box will notify you automatically of new OTA System updates (when the automatic updates box is checked).
11) PERSONALIZATION
You may also personalize your unit to you and your family interests. Example: If you go to your Video Add-Ons and click to the far left until a side panel pops out you’ll notice an option to change views and at the bottom, and option to “Get More.” Click on that and you’ll notice over 2300 other add-ons to choose from. We continuously will feature some of the best ones for you but if you find another you like, you can install it and try it out to see if it works and if you like it.
If an Add-on doesn’t work or you don’t like it, you can highlight it from within your Video Add-ons and then hit the Menu button, which will give you the option to Uninstall Addon.
