FOMOstream®
Setup and Updates
via the
KODI Add-ons Manager
The FOMOstream® Android TV Box has a special KODI setup that our team fully manages for free for as long as you own your FOMOstream®. This blog post explains how to get our special KODI setup and updates.
KODI is very fast changing platform and would be quite frustrating trying to keep up with all the industry changes each week without our free KODI Updates. These updates are facilitated through our ‘Add-ons Manager’ (Wizard) found in your Android Apps section.
IMPORTANT: Always be sure that the "Server Version" is available on your box before a factory reset or clearing away the setup to make room for a new one. On rare occasions, we may be working on the server and if you clear your setup away at that moment you'll have to wait for it to get back on the server again for you to upload.
How To Run Your Add-Ons Manager ( Wizard )
Your ‘Add-ons Manager’ is used to help you Setup KODI, and to help you Maintain KODI. This feature is also referred to as ‘Wizard Updates’ in the industry. The majority of Android TV Box manufacturers do not provide KODI updates whatsoever. FOMOstream® prides itself on featuring the most interesting and dependable KODI addons and having the most well-groomed KODI add-on wizard updates available!
Unless someone has already fully setup your FOMOstream® box for you, you will need to run the Add-Ons Manager as soon as you power the box on and get your internet connected.
Be sure to do this BEFORE you click on the KODI App when setting up your unit for the first time.
To run the Add-Ons Manager simply go to your Apps found on the bottom left-hand side of your Android Launcher Home Screen. Your Add-Ons Manager is the very first app you will see listed inside.
Click on the Add-Ons Manager and you will notice a Local Version & Server Version. If this is the first time setting your box up you will notice the Local Version blank, until you click addon install.
If you have a version installed that you want to replace, simply click Clear data and cache first before the addon install.
UPDATE: If you first did a System Update, you’ll need to go to your Android Add-ons to do a ‘Factory Reset,’ before updating your Add-ons Manager Server Version. This will ensure all of the old is wiped away to make room for the new setup.
PLEASE NOTE:
When the status download status bar reaches 100%, it will sit there for a few mins on that screen while it sets your KODI shortcuts. Please Do Not click anything on your remote until you get brought back to the Add-ons Manager screen and can see the Local Server displayed.
IMPORTANT !!
To Maintain your unit, you must update KODI through your Add-Ons Manager regularly when updates become available. If you go too many months without running an available update your user experience will begin to diminish in comparison to others who have updated units. If there hasn’t been a new update available on your box for a few weeks, there is no need for concern. Just keep checking for new ones and if you don’t see one you’ll know that everything is as it should be.
After the updates is complete, it may sit on 100% downloaded for a few mins before taking you back to the Add-ons manager screen. Please be patient and do not disturb the download process before it gets back to that screen, otherwise, you may find a few missing shortcuts at the bottom of the KODI screen. The last step of the update is adding the shortcuts at the bottom.
Finally, reboot your FOMOstream® to complete the update. Meaning power your box off and back on.
Each time you run the Add-Ons Manager ( Wizard ), your FOMOstream® Android TV box will mirror our servers with the best setup we suggest at that time. This setup is constantly changing with the industry changes and our own. If you do an update and notice a new KODI Add-on being featured that you never noticed before, you might want to check it out and see what it’s all about. If there is an add-on you would like us to feature, please email us about it at support@fomostream.com and we will consider your request.

When buying the Fs1 mini, you asked if I wanted you to set up the box before it was sent to me, I said yes. After I received my Fs1 and plugged it in I thought I could start watching it….but, its so slow. It takes 25 minutes to get to the item and then there is another 10 minutes to see is it streams…is this it? I must be doing something wrong.

So what if the status download status bar never gets higher than 0%? Is the box messed up? Do I have to actually PAY to get an answer? You deleted my previous question.
admin says
Todd. No one deleted your previous question. Questions do not post publicly to the site until we reply to them and this is the first time your messages was read. This is just one of the many reasons we strongly suggest that all of our customers get phone support with their purchase. It’s the only way that we can make sure you get the most out of your purchase and not jumping to wrong conclusions. If you were signed up to receive updates from this blog you should have received this post in your email on Jan 26th, 2018…

Thanks, got it done and no problems. For me it is something good.

Like the previous 2 comments I did have issues at the beginning. Primarily because they were working on the server. Since then my FS1 mini has been flawless. Quick response time, works as fast as clicking your cable company remote. Great product and I am now 100% satisfied!!
