It’s easy to clear your cache on your FOMOstream® Android TV Box | HD, 3D, & 4K Streaming Media Player. This blog will explain how and why.
When you stream content on your FOMOstream® Android TV Box will remember what you watched and where you left off at so that it can give you the option to resume.
After a while this information will begin to fill up your memory which can affect the performance of your FOMOstream® box.
For this reason, it’s a good idea to occasionally clear your cache which will clean up the memory through the Merlin Maintenance Add-on found above the TOOLS menu tab inside of our Kodi setup.
This is the easiest way to clear the cache and the only reason we feature the Merlin Maintenance Wizard there.
Inside your Add-ons Manager, there is also an option to “Clear Cache and Data” but that one will wipe your entire Kodi set up away so we recommended using the Merlin Maintenance Wizard we have installed.
How often should you clear your Cache?
It’s hard to say. It depends on how often you stream content on your FOMOstream® box and whether or not you have 8gb of storage or 16gb or storage. A good rule of thumb it to clear it after a few weeks if you notice it doesn’t seem to perform as well as it used to.
